Blue Herons Under Pink Sky
Great blue herons are graceful, strong, and patient. In this painting, pastel skies, elegant birds, and soft grasses pull the viewer into a dreamlike vision of a quiet moment at a salt marsh. Contrasted detail and openness, cool blues and warm pinks, work in harmony to instill peace and calm.

Monarchs on Milkweed
This piece is a reflection on a monarch's metamorphosis, circulating around a milkweed plant. Observe the monarch through its seasons of life: an adult butterfly lands gracefully on pink blooms, lays little eggs to rest on a leaf below, which become a caterpillar who munches through the leaves of the plant, to then build and cocoon in its chrysalis towards the bottom, emerge on the left, shake out its wings and take flight as a butterfly again.

a bit about the artist
I'm a southern California oil painter inspired by quiet moments in nature. Iām drawn to butterflies and birds for their delicate movements, which feel like brief pauses in time for mindful reflection. Through detailed brushwork, I capture light, color, and motion to create a peaceful pause on canvas, inviting the viewer to slow down and connect with the world around them.
