Southern California Native Butterfly Species Study
The orange sulphur carries warmth in its wings: lemon gold softened by earthy brown and the faintest dots of orange. This butterfly is often seen moving quickly through open fields and sunny meadows. Bright and fleeting, it is a small piece of sunshine set loose over the Southern California landscape.
Painted with Winsor & Newton and Gansai Tambi watercolor paints on cold pressed lightly textured watercolor paper. Original 5x5 inch watercolor matted and framed in a 8x8 inch white frame with glass, ready to hang.
